Search Warrant Finds Over $300,000 in Drugs and Other Items

 

On June 1st OPP, Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit with assistance with Wellington, Elgin-Middlesex and Grey-Bruce Community Street Crime Units, Wellington OPP, Central Region Tactics and Rescue Unit and the West Region Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at residence on Fernwood Place in Kitchener.

Police seized suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine along with two firearms, drug trafficking paraphernalia, gold, brass knuckles and cash.

The value of the items is estimated at around $300,000.

The 39 year old of Kitchener faces multiple charges including

Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Methamphetamine (two counts)

· Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking- Fentanyl (two counts)

· Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

· Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order (nine counts)

· Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

· Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

· Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
