Seaforth Resident Faces Slew of Charges After Collision

A Seaforth resident is being held in custody after a slew of driving related charges from Huron County OPP.

On August 19th at around 10;:40pm. OPP responded to a collision which took place east of Goderich on Highway 8.

Officers located a sedan which caught fire after it collided with a shipping container parked off the highway.

The driver escaped the crash mostly uninjured who had escaped on foot. Officers learned the driver of the sedan veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle before it went off the roadway.

Officers began a search and found the suspect shortly after who was displaying signs of impairment.

The 32 year old of Seaforth was charged with a slew of crimes including Operation While Impaired, Operation While Prohibited, Two Counts of Failing to Report an Accident and Two Counts of Failing to Remain.
