Saputo Dairy Products in Tavistock has been fined $75,000 after a workplace injury at the site.
A worker at the facility suffered a hand injury from a cheese cutting machine on July 11th 2021.
The company plead guilty in a courtroom Woodstock.
The company also must pay a 25 per cent victim fine surcharge a government fund to help victims of a crime.
An investigation on the incident from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development found that a pusher arm should have stopped from moving and prevented from starting with the machine should have been locked out before maintenance from staff started.
