West Perth council has given the green light for a roundabout in Russeldale.
Council approved the recommendation for the roundabout for Highway 23 and Perth Line 20 which is expected to start construction next summer.
The intersection has been a target for improvement for many years where it was seen 13 crashes recorded from 2011-2019 according the Ministry of Transportation.
According to the ministry more than 3500 vehicles pass through the intersection each day with residents around the area saying drivers don’t stop or don’t stop long enough to wait for traffic to clear.
