Midwestern Ontario is preparing for the start of Deer Hunting next week and the rifle season.
The season for rifle hunting for deer season begins on Monday and will run until the end of the week.
Everyone using county-owned forests are reminded they must be visible and aware of others nearby.
Trail users should avoid use of trails from dawn until dusk or anytime visibility is limited. Dressing orange and having pets wear bright colours should be considered.
Those taking part in deer hunting are reminded to avoid hunting along the trails or in areas of active trail use.
Hunters should never shoot unless they are absolutely sure of their target and what is beyond it.
