The Province reminding residents of regulations that govern the use of E-Bikes.

In order to be permitted to ride an e-bike on roadways and highways where conventional bicyles are permitted they must not be able to travel in excess of 32 kilometers per hour, have a maximum weight of 120 kg, the motor must not exceed 500 watts and no modifications to the motor are permitted to exceed either the engine power or speed restriction.

Removal of the pedals they advise makes an e-bike a motor vehicle.
