The Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation shared word of a retired Groves Hospital staff member as being the winner of the very last Rural Wellington Hopsitals 50/50 Lottery.
Lois’ winning ticket number was drawn last week and she and her husband Kieran are going home with $3,190.
She has been playing the lottery since it launched a year ago and say she couldn’t believe she had won when she received a congratulations email from the organizer. She had to call and confirm it was real.
Lois is still deciding what do do with her winnings and is thinking about renovating their family room or using it towards a vacation.
