Restaurant Owners Looking for Full Indoor Capacity

Full capacity for hockey games allowed, restaurants still must abide to certain restrictions

With the Ontario government removing capacity limits for things such as sporting events, some restaurant owners are wondering how long until they can operate indoors at full capacity as well.

In a virtual meeting held to discuss the topic, among the frustrations was Minister for Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture, Lisa MacLeod did not show up.

Restaurant owners who attended the meeting say it’s pure nonsense for restaurants to still be restricted to have as many people inside as physical distancing allows while hockey arenas will operate at full capacity.

Rinks such as Scotiabank Arena which house the Toronto Maple Leafs can entertain nearly 20,000 fans at full capacity.
