Early bird registration remains open for the coming season with the Harriston Skating Club.
With the season starting October 7th, those who register before September 1st can take advantage of the early bird pricing.
The off season has been rather busy for the club who welcomed Rose Brawley as the next head coach while Karen Moore steps down but will still remain with the club offering private coaching and sharing her skills with skaters.
President of the Harriston Skating Club, Stephanie Foster says on top of this being the building block to pick up skating, there is much more hidden skills to joining.
“This is a generational, family passion. It’s part of our Canadian heritage. The schools go skating so its important for these kids to both learn how to do this socially, make new friends but when time comes to go skating in school or on trips, these are life skills that these kids are going to carry with them.” said Foster.
The club during the season skates on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Harriston Arena until the end of March.
