Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health has given a bit more clarification in terms of what will be needed in order to get the remaining schools that are strictly remote learning to reopen in class instruction.

Dr. David Williams says that on-site rapid testing will be required in order to quickly diagnose children who show mild symptoms that may indicate Covid-19. This would be once in-class instruction resumes.

The province is aiming at February 10th to have the testing in-place.

They are currently stockpiling testing equipment and supplies leading up to the re-opening of in-class instruction.

No timeline was provided in general on the re-opening of classrooms in Huron Perth and Wellington County.
