Public Libraries and COVID-19

North Perth Public Library continues to operate by appointment only

During the pandemic, its always the hidden things we may have not realized that are taking are still continuing to take a hit. That’s been the case for public libraries, including here in North Perth.

Public libraries have needed to make some adjustments such as curbside pickup and only have appointment online for visitors to use things such as computers.

During an online meeting, Rebecca Sage CEO of the North Perth Public library touched on how some measures, such as curbside pickup could be part of the future for libraries.

“I could see our municipality that perhaps one community really likes it this way, another community likes it that way so that will be interesting to see how it goes.” said Sage.

The North Perth Public Library continues to be closed to the public and access to computers are by appointment only.
