Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has shared results from their Well-Being and Health Youth (WHY) survey.
Public health collected information from local youth covering various topics from family, mental health, substance use and physical activity.
The overall goal of the survey was to create an understanding of students health and development, done every 2 years by parents, school staff and students from grades 4-12.
Comparing to numbers from 2019, students reported a drop in mental health from 81.6 per cent in 2019 saying their mental health is good to 71.7 in 2022.
