With the region under another air quality statement, Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is urging residents to take measures to protect their health.

Poor air quality can have negative impacts on your heart and lungs can be worsen with many chronic diseases.

The most vulnerable to smog include young children, elderly, outdoor workers and those with chronic conditions including asthma, bronchitis and heart disease.

Areas around Wellington County sit at high and very high risk for observed conditions.

Air quality has dropped for the 2nd time this month due to smoke from forest fires in Ontario and Quebec.
