Huron-Perth Public Health is encouraging residents to enjoy their spring holidays and occasions safely.
Dr. Miriam Klassen, Medical Officer of Health for Huron-Perth says people must consider their personal health and vulnerabilities of those around you when making plans about gatherings for the holidays.
Klassen adds the pandemic is not over with a sub-variant of Omicron now the dominant strain which spreads very easily.
This is resulting in an increase of outbreaks in high risk settings such as long term care.
