Huron-Perth Public Health is getting a boost from the provincial government.
Public health is getting a one time boost of funding to the tune of $146,900 in combo with over $1.3 million in additional base funding.
Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health will also receive $318,900 alongside over $469,000 in additional base funding.
In a release the funding will support the governments work to strengthen public health including restoring provincial base funding to the level provided under the 2020 cost share formula and providing 1 per cent growth base funding for the 2024 calendar year.
Matt Rae says this funding will allow public health units to continue to provide valuable services for our rural communities.
