Vaccine waste for 2023 is expected in a coming report from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health on Wednesday.
As per the report public health distributed $8,532,550.55 in vaccines from January to December 2023 not including the COVID-19 vaccine to community partners.
Public health has an internal and external wastage rate of 3.1 per cent. Waste was down from the year prior by 5.3 per cent.
The full report will be brought to the public health meeting on Wednesday.
