The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario announced today that it has banned offering & accepting wagers on Ultimate Fighting Championship events due to concerns of its non-compliance with the AGCO’s betting integrity requirements.
The standards include rules to safeguard against odds manipulation, match-fixing and other sports betting integrity issues.
One issue specifically is that UFC does not prohibit all insiders from betting on their events, and other illicit activity that may influence the outcome of bets on events.
