While it’s not expected to reopen until December, progress continues for upgrades at the Elora Waste Facility.
Improvements to the facility kicked off this year as part of the county’s long term strategy to create Diversion Centres to help recycle more and extend the life of landfills.
The Elora facility is seeing new weigh scales, new household hazardous waste buildings and a regraded and reconfigured site layout for improved safety and easier access to bins.
While work is ongoing, the remainder of the waste facility in the county are open.
