Wellington County OPP are looking into reports of vandalism and mischief in Fergus and Elora of pride banners being damaged.
In a statement from Centre Wellington Township, Mayor Shawn Watters says hate has no place in Centre Wellington and the acts of vandalism will not stop their unwavering support, adding everyone has the right to feel safe and welcomed in Wellington County.
OPP say if anyone sees any damaged or stolen items to contact police with anyone with surveillance footage also encouraged to reach out at 1-888-310-1122.
