It was quite the scene in Brussels on Sunday when part of the Home Hardware roof collapsed.
A section of the front entrance collapsed at night with nobody inside at the time and no injuries being reported in the incident.
While part of the roof has come in, the business is still open to serve customers.
Jennifer Hundt, Co-Owner of the McDonald Home Hardware says they still have another entrance to use for customers which allows them to stay open.
“We have other entrances like the lumber entrance so thats just our main entrance like we had to do during COVID and reduce to just one entrance. We’re doing that now while we get that cleaned up” said Hundt.
Hundt says the roof collapse likely was a result of snow buildup with the region being hammered with heavy amounts of snowfall over the last while.
