Huron County OPP are out in increased presence with police joined by West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region emergency Response Tam, K-9 and West Region Mobile Support Unit as they are on the scene of a barricaded person incident in the village of Vanastra.
At 7:25pm Thursday night, officers responded to the incident at a townhouse building on St Charles Place.
Police say there is no threat to public safety but ask the public to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
