OPP are reminding boaters to remain safe over the summer after multiple marine incidents already this year.
This weekend a large number of marine incidents were reported across the province from various detachments.
Boaters and paddlers are being reminded that those operating impaired or not wearing a life jacket have been the contributing factors in marine injuries and deaths.
In incidents investigated by OPP, falling overboard and capsized vessels has remained as the leading causes of death each year.
Police add if you are ever rendered unconscious a life jacket will keep your head above water.
