The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is taking part in herbicide spraying on Phragmites in Stratford.

This spraying in the city includes ditches, stormwater management ponds and other naturalized areas.

Phragmites are an aggressive, invasive plant species found in wetlands and along waterways which spreads rapidly, choking out native vegetation and disrupting ecosystems.

Signage has been posted where the work is taking place with required approvals having been completed.
