On August 21st, Fergus resident Pete Viol will get into his canoe and start his 750km trip across Ontario’s waterways to help raise money for the cardiac centre at the St Marys General Hospital.
The fundraiser will last until mid-September dubbed Canoe for Cardiac Care. Over the course of the last 4 years Viol has raised over $112,000 is hoping to raise $30,000 this year.
Viol will start his trip at Port Severn eventually making it to Ottawa.
