Perth-Wellington is getting a boost from the province for new infrastructure funding.

MPP Matthew Rae has announced $11.18 million in funding to be spread across each county with North Perth getting a share of $2.13 million for reconstruction of Wallace Avenue North.

The funding comes from a $400 million investment to build, repair and maintain municipal roads, bridges and culverts to promote housing growth in communities in Ontario.

North Perth Mayor Todd Kasenberg says this will provide much needed housing opportunities including those with recently expanded settlement boundary and supporting future commercial and light industrial employment lands.
