Perth South council spent more time discussing the townships Flag Policy continuing from a discussion on June 6th when Councilor Mark Bell raised concerns brought by citizens about raising the Pride Flag.
Stratford-Perth Pride in a statement says they serve all of Perth County including in Perth South and do not want to see the municipality move into the same direction as other townships such as Norwich.
As it stands following discussion, Perth South will keep the flag policy the same for now which allows the Pride Flag to be flown and will be reviewed by staff in 2024.
