On August 3, 2022, members of the Perth County OPP received a report of a break, enter, and theft at a business located on Line 34 in the Township of Perth East.
The business is equipped with a monetary security system, notifying police when it went off.
Police arrested a male leaving the area with a bag containing stolen property from the business.
As a result, a 20-year-old resident of Perth South has been arrested and charged with breaking and entering, as well as a charge for possession of property obtained by crime.
It was noted the 20-year-old was also charged with assault of a Peace Officer with a weapon.
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
