While over 2600 charges were laid by West Region OPP detachments over the May long weekend, Perth County saw their share of over 230 in the total number.
OPP officers from May 16th-22nd took part in the Canada Road Safety Week with a focus on the “Big Four” aggressive driving, impaired operation, distracted driving and failing to wear a seat belt.
Perth County OPP charged 6 with impaired driving, 6 seat belt violations, 11 with stunt driving, 140 speeding and 70 other highway traffic act offences.
