Perth County OPP continue to warn residents about ongoing cryptocurrency scams across the area which has left one local victim out of money yet again.
On February 6th just before 11:30am, OPP received a report of a Perth East resident who lost over $140,000 to a crypto investment scam.
While investigation is still ongoing police continue put out the warning signs of scams across the area.
Signs include unsolicited phone calls, emails or social media investment offers, displays of urgency, investment opportunities with higher than normal returns and people you just met on a dating site or social media who quickly attempts to convince you of crypto investment.
