During the holiday season, Perth County OPP officers were conducting RIDE programs throughout Perth County for the Festive RIDE campaign. This year’s campaign started November 26th and ended January 3rd, 2021.
The Perth County OPP conducted the third highest number of RIDE checks in the West Region at 118.
During the Festive RIDE campaign Perth County OPP charged seven drivers with Impaired Operation offences (including refusal to provide a breath sample) and six other drivers were served with 3 day warn range suspensions (50 to 80 mg/100ml blood).
In 2019 Perth OPP charged 8 drivers with impaired offenses and seven drivers were given warn range suspensions.
The regional average for hte number of drivers charged during the campaign was 10.5
