Perth County OPP have charged a 24 year old with assault following an incident earlier this week.
On Tuesday, February 1st OPP were called to a residence on James Street just after 3am of an assault.
Police say the suspect had assaulted another person with a weapon then damaged two vehicles which were at the residence.
Police arrested and charged a 24 year old with no fixed address with Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and two counts of Failure to Comply with a Probation Order.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
