Perth County OPP wanted to remind drivers to be cautious around school zones.
Due to a rise in concerning driving behaviour in the area near Listowel District Secondary School and Eastdale Public School, Perth County OP have increased traffic enforcement over the past few weeks.
A number of drivers have been charged with various offenses including unnecessary noise, no muffle and careless driving.
2 young drivers have also had their licensed suspended and vehicles impounded as a result of stunt driving offenses.
They also want to remind drivers that losing traction of tires or burning out is an offense under the Highway Traffic Act.
Drivers are asked to be careful at all times, especially in Community Safety Zones around schools.
With nicer weather and increased pedestrian traffic aggressive driving poses a higher risk.
