Perth County OPP charge Driver of Bus after January Collision with Commercial Vehicle in Perth East

The Driver of the School Bus, a 65 year old of Waterloo, has been charged with disobeying a stop sign and failing to stop.

Perth County OPP have charged one person following an investigation into a collision between a school bus and a commercial motor vehicle on January 20th.

Officers were called to the site on Perth Road 107 and Line 45 in Perth East Township just before 3pm.

Two students were on board the bus when it collided with the vehicle. One 16 year old was transported by air ambulance with the other passenger, a 14 year old student and the driver transported to hospital by ambulance.

All three received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured.

A 65 year old resident of Waterloo was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign.
