A new club is becoming part of Perth County 4-H and all are welcome to join and attend upcoming meetings with first planned in February.
The North Perth 4-H Conservation Club is open for all ages and learn more about natural resources and complete projects to create wildlife habitat, increase biodiversity and help improve soil and water quality.
The first meeting runs on February 11th at the parking lot of North Perth Westfield from 9am-12pm installing hen houses and screech owl boxes.
Other meetings planned throughout the year include a Woodlot Tour, discussing animal tracks and trapping, cleaning up the river and building wildlife shelters.
Those interested in attending meetings are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather at the time with other requirements needed for certain meetings where the use of power and hand tools will be involved.
