Hospitals across Perth and Wellington Counties will benefit from almost $5.2 million in new funding.
The funding is in respond to added demand to area hospitals due to Covid-19 and all demands that are increasing. The Ministry of Health announced that all publicly funded hospitals in Ontario will see a minimum increase of 1 percent.
In Perth and Wellington increases will be 2 percent or more. Stratford will see 3 percent, Listowel, 2 percent, North Wellington will see 3.3 percent and Groves Memorial will see 5.8percent.
The increase in funding will provide an increase of operating budgets at each facility in addition to targeting key priorities.
