School is back in session, the majority of students across the region are back for in person learning.
West Perth’s Manager of Legislative Services Dan Hobson is reminding families of a new pedestrian crosswalk at the corner of St. George Street and Henry Street in Mitchell.
A crossing guard will also be on duty east of the Henry Street Bridge.
This comes as students will now have to walk to Upper Thames Elementary School on Frances Street if they live 1.61km away from the school as they are no longer eligible for a school bus. Hobson says the municipality still needs crossing guards.
