A reminder a meeting is taking place later today to discuss a massive reconstruction project in downtown Palmerston.
Slatted for the summer of 2026 and into 2027, Main Street East and West will undergo reconstruction with a large scope of work taking place.
This will include the full replacement of underground infrastructure including existing water main, sanitary and storm sewer with new services to property line for properties serviced.
Given the scope of the work, a public meeting will take place from 5-8pm at the Palmerston arena.
Director of Economic & Community Development Belinda Wick-Graham says part of this will include hearing from local businesses and how they can be supported while this work takes place.
“We also want to hear from the business community about how we can help their business survive and thrive during the construction in terms of marketing and communications.” Wick-Graham.
Residents are welcome to drop in and learn more about the project as well as ask questions.
