The Palmerston Agriculture Society held a drive-by tractor procession for Mert Schneider last night.
Many gathered while following protocols to honour the late member of the community who served for many years. Assembly for the tractor drive by started at the Palmerston Community Centre, eventually making its way to the Schneider farm.
“He’s been a worker his whole life and we thought we needed to dedicate something for him. A lot of people are here to pay respects.”
Schneider worked alongside the Palmerston Agriculture Society as well as Perth County Beef Farmers and the Ontario Cattlemen’s Association.
