The City of Owen Sound has been awards the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada for next year.
The annual event is Canada’s biggest single day hockey celebration. Host Ron MacLean will be joined by the Sportsnet Broadcast team and NHL Alumni for the day long event.
The event planned for Owen Sound will happen at Harriston Park. The City of Owen Sound is planning four days of events prior to the day including Music of Hockey, the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada Banquet, a Celebrity Alumni Game, clinics for children and more.
Hockey Day in Canada will feature local minor hockey games with boys and girls minor hockey teams, high school sports and the Owen Sound Attack taking on the Guelph Storm.
