A Covid-19 outbreak has been declared at the 2nd floor medicine unit of Listowel Memorial Hospital. There are 3 patients and 7 staff that have been identified as part of the outbreak.
The hospital is working closely with Huron Perth Public Health in responding to the outbreak. All staff and physicians that have worked at the hospital since December 11th have bene requested to take a Covid-19 test.
Admissions are no longer being accepted on the medicine unit.
Patients who require admission will be admitted to the first floor complex care unit or to a neighbouring hospital.
Emergency, ambulatory care, operating room procedures, obstetrics, diagnostic imaging and specialist visits continue.
