OPP respond to theft in progress – two arrested

During arrest police seized substances believed to be Fentanyl and Oxycodone

Wellington County OPP responded to a theft in progress at a business on Side Road 14 in Guelph – Eramosa Township.

Upon arrival police arrested two suspects at the scene. They also recovered a quantity of metal cable which had been stolen from the business.

During the investigation police seized drug paraphernalia and substances believed to be Fentanyl and Oxycodone.

A 52 year old male of Guelph – Eramosa Township has been charged with theft under $5000, failure to comply with a release order, and 2 counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance opioid

A 49 year old of Guelph is charged with theft under $5000 and possession of a schedule 1 substance opioid.

The 52 year old was held for a bail hearing and is to appear in a Guelph Court to answer to charges.

The 49 year old is scheduled to appear at a Guelph Court to answer to the charges.
