While snow has taken a back seat for the next while, Huron County OPP are still reminding drivers it is an offence to deposit snow or ice onto the roads.
Under the Highway Traffic Act no person shall put snow or ice onto the road without permission in writing.
OPP say this creates a hazard for others, slows down cleanup and can disrupt visibility.
Police say instead to pile snow on your property, be mindful of your neighbours, avoid blocking curbs and always to keep fire hydrants clear of snow so emergency services can access them quickly.
