The Perth County OPP are reminding parents to speak with their children about the risks of participating in social media challenges.

The alert comes after officers received a report of vandalism on December 4th at a Brock Street West home in Listowel that had their front door kicked inĀ  with the suspects fleeing the scene on foot.

They were later located in the area and identified as two 13 year olds and a 14 year old all of North Perth.

The youth were referred to a Diversion program, an extrajudicial measure under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It means the youth will be required to repair the harm done to the victim.
