OPP in urging people against selfies at Ontario canola farms after photos spread online of such incidents were found over the long weekend.
Dufferin OPP say they saw increased trespassing incidents at canola fields across the county as people stopped their vehicles on the highway and entered the fields to take photos.
In a release, police shared a photo of such cars lined up on the side of the highway.
Police say the potential damage to crop is valued at $2000 if only one acre is damaged.
Police add they will continue to monitor the situation, adding a criminal charge of mischief could be added if any crop is found damaged by a responding officer.
