The Perth County OPP announced that a sexual assault investigation has resulted in charges to a 27 year old Listowel resident.
Officers responded yesterday just before 9pm to a residence in North Perth for a report of a sexual assault.
The victim was located and transported to an out-of-town hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation determined that the accused met the victim online after using a fake identity.
As a result the 27-year old was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault of a person under the age of 16, sexual interference, forcible confinement and uttering death or bodily harm threats.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
