OPP busy this week with multiple charges laid in Perth East

The Perth East OPP were busy in the last week with a flurry of charges against suspects for drug possession, criminal harassment, trespassing and theft.

Last Friday just after 10 am Perth County OPP responded to a report of theft of a UTV form a property on Line 37 in Perth east.

Sometime overnight unknown person(s) attended the property and drove off with a Silver/Brown 2018 Polaris Ranger XP 1000 side-by-side valued at over $15,000. The investigation is ongoing.

Last Saturday Perth County OPP was conducting general patrols in Harmony when an officer observed a motor vehicle being driven in an unsafe manner. As a result a traffic stop was conducted on Perth Road 112. Further investigation revealed the driver was in possession of an illegal drug.

A 31 year old female of St. Thomas was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance methamphetamine and driving while under suspension. The accused was released from custody and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date.

And one person faces charges following a domestic incident. On Monday just after 11am Perth County OPP received a report of several incidents that occurred in the area of Perth East and the City of Stratford.

During the investigation it was learned that one person had been harassed on multiple occasions.

As a result a 55 year old resident of Stratford was arrested and charged with criminal harassments beset and watch complaint, criminal harassment repeated communicate, criminal harassment repeatedly follow and trespassing at night.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
