A friendly competition between police officers has led to hundreds of lives potentially being saved.
From November 1st-January 31st Perth County OPP, Huron County OPP and the Stratford Police Service took part in a blood drive with teams donating blood over the time period.
The competition, spearheaded by Perth County OPP’s Auxiliary Unit alongside the Canadian Blood Services donated a trophy to the winning team.
A total of 51 units of blood were donated equaling out to 153 lives potentially being saved.
26 units were donated by Perth County OPP, 15 from Huron County and 10 from Stratford Police.
