This Thanksgiving, OPP across the province will be around ensuring you are staying safe and watching your speed. Operation Impact is now in effect with an increased police presence.
244 people have died in the 209 fatal accidents this year in Ontario. The majority of the lives lost were a result of speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, inattentive drivers and alcohol. Police will be targeting aggressive drivers over the long weekend.
The OPP want to make sure you slow down, buckle up, pay attention to the road and stay sober if you’ll be behind the wheel.
