The Ontario Government has extended the state of emergency and stay-at-home order due to the coronavirus for 2 more weeks.

The detail was included in a news release about the Province’s vaccine program.

The State of Emergency was declared on January 12th and will now expire on February 9th. The Stay-at-Home order was extended at the same time.

If the extension hadn’t occurred the existing measure would have expired tonight just after midnight.

The extension was expected as the Premier said on January 12th that it would remain in effect for 28 days.

The state of emergency must be extended by government every 14 days after it comes into effect.
