Registered Nurses and Health-Care Professionals held a rally this morning outside Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece’s constituency office calling for the repeal of Bill 124, which would suppress wages and their access to fair collective bargaining says ONA President Vicki McKenna.

McKenna adds that Bill 124 has caused many RN’s and health care professionals to leave the profession, worsening the provincial nursing shortage.

Also at the event were other members of CUPE who joined the local RN’s and health-care professionals.

ONA represents more than 68,000 registered nurses and health care professionals as well as 18,000 nursing students affiliates providing care in hospitals, LTC’s, public health and more.
